As soon as I saw the screen on the iPod Touch, I instantly knew its destiny as a video destination for me. Roughly half the space of my iPod is taken up by videos. They’re great for long rides or when I get stuck waiting somewhere unexpectedly. Before I launch into my tutorial, I will mention that I have found episodic content to be a better pairing with the iPod than movies. Converting videos for your iPod is quite simple due to a free tool named which works for Macs as well as Windows. I will also mention that the iTunes store has many TV shows and movies which you can download, and they will all work with your iPod without hassle. This guide is for other videos you legally (or not so legally) obtain which you’d like to add to your iPod.
If the video you want to put on your iPod is on a DVD, you first need to get the file onto your computer (skip to next paragraph if the file is already on your computer). Commercial DVDs are encrypted, and breaking the encryption is a violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act in the USA, and not something I recommend you do for the obvious legal and ethical reasons. With that said, there is an extremely easy to use Windows program called which will allow you to copy a DVD to your hard drive. If you need help with , there is a guide . If you are using Mac OS X, can handle the decryption for you. Once the windows users have the files on their computer (obviously needing to be more complicated than their Mac counterpart) open up Handbrake. In the source box, browse to the file or folder with the video and select it. Handbrake can handle a wide variety of input formats. Next, under source, click on the Titles drop down and manually select the video you want to convert. If you leave it set on automatic, there is a chance Handbrake will choose the wrong title. Next, under Destination, click browse, and select where you want to save the new video stream, and type in a file name. Under “Save as,” select m4v. Now here’s the critical part, on the right side under presets, click “iPhone/iPod Touch” or another iPod option depending on what you have. Under output settings, the encoder should be set as H.264 and the Audio Encoder as AAC. Make sure “Insert iPod Atom” is selected. That’s it! Now all you have to do is click start and give your computer some time to crunch away. There are a million tweaks you can make with Handbrake, including using a queue to convert many files at once, so feel free to explore once you get comfortable. When Handbrake is finished creating the file, open up iTunes, go to File, Add File to iTunes, and select the file you just created ending in .m4v. The video should now show up under movies in iTunes. Now plug in your iPod. Once iTunes has loaded it, select your iPod from within iTunes. Go to the movies tab under your iPod’s properties within iTunes, and tell iTunes to either sink all your videos, or just the one you created. Voila! Next time you sync your iPod, you should have your video on your shiny device to take with you anywhere. -Jewbin
Deze ochtend op StuBru: een onderzoek bij "de jeugd van tegenwoordig". Of ze materialistisch zijn? Nu, ik kan enkel voor mezelf antwoorden en op die vraag zeg ik volmondig 'JA'. En iedereen die me kent, zal dat beamen... Ik hou er nu eenmaal van om mij te omringen met 'the latest & greatest'. Nintendo Wii? Check! Sony Vaio laptop? Check! PSP? Check! iPod Video? Check! Nokia GSM? Check! Nu, ik let er wel op dat ik niet overdrijf. Er bestaat àltijd erger. Zo heb ik 'slechts' 999 euro betaald voor mijn laptop terwijl mijn eigenlijke favoriet er 2000 kostte. Ik ben ook nooit 'de eerste' met iets. Mijn PSP kocht ik als de hype al wat over was. Mijn Nokia is mooi en handig, maar niet hét topmodel. Mijn Nintendo Wii heb ik nog maar enkele weken. En mijn iPod Video heb ik nog steeds niet omgeruild voor een iPhone of iPod Touch. En néén, ik heb (nog) geen Macbook! Maar sinds Jo en ik shoppen voor onze uitzet, betrap ik mezelf erop dat ik zelfs voor praktisch keukenmateriaal voor 'the latest & greatest' kies. We kijken wel altijd uit naar promoties. De -folder is onze bijbel. Wat dacht je van een potten- en pannenset van aan -40%? Een aan de helft van de prijs. stofzuigers aan interessante prijsjes. Een designlamp van outlet store in Brussel (een geweldige winkel trouwens!). Onze droogkast konden we op de kop tikken in een uitverkoop. Snobisme? Integendeel! Nu zien onze bankrekeningen even af, maar met onze meubels en materialen kunnen Jo en ik nog jààààren verder. En da's, boven alles, ons doel. Mijn volgende snufje? Een . En die ga ik wél als allereerste kopen, als 't effe kan... Handig als zoiets gelanceerd wordt, enkele weken na je verjaardag!
The battery lifespan on the iPod I have is fine. Unless I'm not using it. In which case it goes to shit. Seriously. How in the world do we explain an iPod that I charge, leave well alone for a day or two, only to come back to it to find the battery empty. EMPTY. I had to recharge the fucker, again. Find it absurd that I have to leave the device constantly charging. My phone last 3 days without charging, and I make more use out of it than my iPod. Maybe if I trade it in... Another thing that annoys me are ellipses. People tend to overuse the poor thing.

Definitivamente sí!, Uno se pone a pensar, y todo era mejor, más real cuando no exisitían los celulares, el Internet, el maldito Facebook, los cajeros electrónicos, el Ipod, los puntos de venta, Messenger, cervezas lights, computadoras, mujeres reconstruidas a punta de silicona o cuchillazos, etc.. Quizá en éste momento piensas que estoy loco, pero piénsalo bien, yo empecé a preguntarme seriamente esto cuando hace un par de semanas se me quedó el celular en la casa y había quedado en buscar a una amiga para ir a un cumpleaños juntos. No crean que fué fácil, cuando estoy llegando a su edificio y me doy cuenta de mi despiste, empiezo a pensar cómo demonios me voy a comunicar con ella para decirle que baje? No sé cual es el número del apartamento, era tarde para tocar el timbre de la conserje, tocaré corneta??? mmm... no es una posibilidad. Que hago? Y en ese momento se me ocurre la maravillosa idea! Ya sé! como estoy cerca de la Texaco de las Mercedes, voy y compro una tarjeta de teléfono para llamarla de un teléfono público... Jajajaja que gran error!!! Teléfono Público? Existen todavía? Usarán monedas? Bolívares fuertes? y mientras llego a la conclusión que no voy a encontrar uno en los alrededores (y de haber, seguro no funcionará) me acuerdo que tampoco me sé el número de ella, claro, lo tengo anotado en el celular, en los contactos de Outlook, en el Bberry, en el Google calendar, pero nada de eso no me sirve en éste momento porque se me quedó el fucking celular en la casa. Han pasado 35 minutos desde que la llame para decirle que iba saliendo, mi solución, la más rápida (aunque no coherente) fué ir hasta el restaurant Malabar (lugar donde era la celebración) y allí pedirle a alguno de mis amigos su celular prestado para realizar las siguientes acciones:
Éstos son los ejemplos que se ríen de nosotros y nos dice que estamos demasiado complicados con la tecnología y cada vez, más dependiente de ella. Antes, al Walkman había que cambiarle las pilas una vez a la semana, no había que sincronizar nada y lo por que podía pasar es que la cinta se enredara y tuvieras que pegarla con teipe, celoté (como dirían las secretarias, cachifas o gente que dice cabello, bloomer, etc.) o pintura de uñas. Los juegos de video, eran un simple cartucho que podias soplar para que funcionara si se había llenado de polvo y el control que usabas era un joystic con un solo botón, no las bestialidades inalámbricas con 17 botones y 8 escondidos en los que necesitas hasta los dedos de los pies para poder disparar una puta granada.
Las mujeres eran naturales y lo que tenían lo llevaban con orgullo. Nada de lolas de mentiras para aumentar su autoestima para llenar sostenes como escudos para que las otras mujeres y hombres no vean su real miseria que llevan por dentro (Ojo, no todas, pero el 99% es así), a pesar de eso, nosotros disfrutamos el paisaje, pero insisto, nada como lo natural, pero de ésto tipearemos en otro post. En fín, definitivamente antes viviamos mejor, menos TV, menos noticias, menos marchas, comunismo, socialismo y más música, jodedera, juegos en el parque, etc. Honor a quién honor merece, y éste post va dedicado a todos los casettes TDK de 90 y 120 que todavía conservo con los éxitos de los 80 y 90 que grabé pidiéndo las canciones a la radio y que las pusieran "para grabar" es decir, que no hablaran ni al principio ni al final de la canción. Vayalo!
